PANDEMICS DON'T MAKE US ESSENTIAL, OUR LABOR DOES.
AFSCME MEMBERS DESERVE THE VOICE AND TOOLS NECESSARY TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITIES SAFE, HEALTHY, AND STABLE.
Carla is a child support accountant and an essential worker!
Carla and her coworkers are essential workers who report and distribute child support resources to Wisconsin's families. Times are tough for many families, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Carla shows up every day and helps walk community members through the process of receiving the support they need for their families.
In her own words:
“We make sure families receive the money they need to take care of their children. Many people are in need, they tell you their stories. Giving them reassurance means everything to them. We are dedicated and we think about people. We want to do an excellent job to make sure families are taken care of. That’s why we’re in public service."
In Carla's workplace she's looked to as a leader. Coworkers know that because she's an AFSCME member, she knows what's going on. AFSCME members everywhere deserve the right to voice their workplace concerns. Supporting Carla, and all public servants' right to collectively bargain, means supporting strong communities and families.
CARLA IS DOING A GREAT JOB, BUT SHE CAN'T DO IT ALONE. CALL THE LEGISLATURE AND DEMAND THAT THEY FUND THE FRONT LINES AND CARLA'S ESSENTIAL WORK!
