I see a clear and troubling connection among these things:
- UW Oshkosh submitting high needs proposals for the 19-21 biennium in these areas: Engineering Tech, College of Nursing, IT degrees, The Bachelor of Science in Software Technology
- University Resource Alignment determining where it is "fair" to make cuts
- the COLS Dean calling for cuts to social sciences and humanities
- cuts to the social sciences and humanities also happening at UW Superior and UW Stevens Point
If we let the Walker-appointed Board of Regents and Ray Cross slash our humanities and social sciences at Oshkosh, they will go 3 for 3 against public higher education in Wisconsin. We need to resist, now, before it is too late. [read more]
