Hello!  It's time to think about elections!  No, not the ones in November, but the ones for your union!  Elections will be held for all officers and executive board members, so, here's your chance to be a "union boss," if you've been a member in good standing for at least a year!  (Well, not really a "boss," especially since the membership holds the ultimate power, but you would be playing a role in supporting and advancing our union!)

The next AFSCME Local 1 general membership meeting will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018 starting at 5:30 PM at the Hawthorne Branch of the Madison Public Library, 2707 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI 53704.

Elections will be held for President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and 3 at-large-seats.

The Treasurer position particularly needs to be filled, as it has been vacant for a while, so, if you have skills in handling finances, accounting, or the like, or feel you can learn quickly, please consider running for that office!
